Born and raised in New York City to Dominican parents, my work is deeply rooted in the vibrant intersection of Caribbean heritage and urban life. Summers spent in the Dominican Republic immersed me in the island's lush landscapes, while my childhood home, transformed by my mother's passion for plants into a jungle-like sanctuary, cultivated an enduring fascination with botanicals. Surrounded by Latin music, food, and traditions, I grew up in a household where culture was not only celebrated but lived every day.

My artistic journey began early. Teachers recognized and nurtured my creative abilities, encouraging me to design school posters, yearbook covers, and large-scale murals. Those formative experiences gave me the confidence to pursue a creative career and eventually led me to study fashion after completing a high school internship in the fashion industry.

As a fashion designer, I built a successful career centered on creativity, storytelling, and craftsmanship. My years in fashion refined my eye for color, composition, and the thoughtful development of color palettes, elements that continue to shape my work as a painter today. Throughout my career, painting and illustration remained a constant, and I continued to develop my artistic practice through personal work while participating in group exhibitions and art fairs, steadily refining my voice as a fine artist.

Today, I bring together a lifetime of creative experience as a full-time fine artist. My paintings are inspired by memory, identity, and heritage, often featuring women and botanical motifs that reflect the strength, beauty, resilience, and nurturing spirit that shaped my upbringing.
